Review and Choose a Temporary Staffing Software Solution

Evaluate your needs for a centralized database.  If both back and front office drive critical benefit to your clients and candidates, then give more weight to solutions that fully integrate those processes - from customer relationship (CRM), employee search and retrieval (ATS) and order fulfillment through payroll and invoicing.

Industry-specific. Certain industries have unique recruitment issues best addressed by specialized solutions such as medical staffing software, IT staffing software, healthcare staffing software or accounting and finance staffing software.

Web-based. Internet-based staffing software solutions that can be used from any location or device, including desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices and cell phones, are most efficient and convenient.

Lead generation. Staffing software that integrates inbound marketing generates business and saves money and time over cold-calling. Email marketing, automated job board posting, and HR web portals all generate demand for your services for minimal costs and provide visibility in search engines.

Email integration. Choose a staffing solution that provides options, one that is capable of hosting your email or integrating with your existing Exchange, Gmail or other provider. Email marketing software is a core component of lead generation services.

Paperless processes. Paperless staffing software processes reduce costs. Choose a solution that eliminates all paper from the initial hire to ongoing HR and payroll processes.

Electronic billing and accounts receivable. An efficient staffing recruitment software solution will fully automate paperless invoicing and collections processes, reducing your risk and facilitating quick client payment.

Checklist

Time and attendance. Time and attendance solutions allow you to capture time through online time clocks, imported time collection files, and online time card reduces fraud, improves security and saves many manual steps thus saving money.

Customizable and configurable. How flexible is the vendor in allowing you to make source code modifications and how easily can the software be configured without source code change to meet your business processes.

Vendor Management (VMS) and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). If you plan on staffing blue-chip employers, choose a staffing software system that provides customer facing solutions that provide value-add beyond staffing.

Customer support. Get to know the staffing software company's support department before purchasing. Get comfortable with the support practices. Can you call and expect to get a knowledgeable support person on the phone at any time of day (good)? Or is a call-back or email based system (not so good)?

Demo and Free Trial. Choose a staffing software provider that allows you to get to know its product by making a demo or free-trial version available.
